Orbit’s product was solid. The billing process was a monthly archaeology project.
We modeled usage events, idempotent ingest, and invoice previews customers could see before they were charged. Finance got a close they could finish on the first business day.
Challenge. Finance closed the month in a shared sheet. Usage data lived in logs. Disputes took days.
Solution. A billing service with metered events, invoice previews, and a customer portal — integrated with the existing Stripe account.
